We gave a whole bunch of love to Android at last week’s developer meetups in Prague and Brno where the all-star lineup included presentations on MVVM, Realm and VIPER.
Petr Nohejl opened with MVVM on Android, which he thinks is pretty cool and hopes you do, too: “I like MVVM, because it is so easy to implement it on Android with the Data Binding Library, and with this architecture, my code is well maintainable and easily testable,” Petr, STRV’s Android Expert, explains.
“It was cool to chat with other developers and discuss different architectural approaches,” Petr added.
Michal Jenicek followed with a lively discussion on the pros and cons of Realm, the replacement for SQLite. Wrapping things up, Jirka Helmich took on VIPER on Android. The presentation were followed, like always, with pizza, beer and socializing until the wee hours of the morning.
For those of you who’d like to run through the slides from the Meetup, here you go:
Our last Developer Meetup for the year will look at Frontend on Apollo as well as another look at GraphQL because the first two times around (at this year’s React Conference and at our meetup in October) weren’t nearly enough for our crew! We’ll be in Brno on December 13 and in Prague on December 15.
