“Bringing the project team together in NYC has been great. We have spent the last two weeks really focusing on the initial development process with the client,” says Daniel Ondruj, one of our lead iOS programmers. “All of the enthusiasm has moved the development process along really fast, so the project is already ahead of schedule, giving us a bit of time to explore the city.”
Jakub Kinst, an Android developer, says: “It's been quite a ride. Joining the team in New York to work on the project together and also experience living in 'the city that never sleeps' has been an amazing opportunity.”
Michal Kalis, an iOS developer, says the trip has been great. “We’re working like crazy so there’s not that much time to visit places, but still we have managed to see many interesting sites here in Manhattan,” he says, noting that the team took in a baseball game at Yankee Stadium and enjoyed more than their fair share of the city's famous burgers.
“What I like is having new routes for running – across Manhattan, over the Brooklyn Bridge and along the Hudson River,” Michal adds. “Everything is huge: the buildings, the streets, the river ... except the burgers.”
The team heads home this week to complete the development process in Prague.
