# Data Engineer --- Prague AND Brno, Czechia Full-time 460 – 900 CZK/hour ## Here's the deal If you've built data pipelines that power real products, you know what we need. We're looking for a Data Engineer who delivers data solutions for clients across startups and enterprises, increasingly with AI and agentic workflows built in. You'll work with a small, focused team, ship fast, and shape how we approach data engineering on projects that actually matter. ## International Community A few things to know: STRV is home to people from around 26 nationalities, which is why our official language is English. If you decide to relocate to the Czech Republic, we’ll happily support you with relocation assistance. You're curious about new tools and ways of working, pragmatic in how you adopt them, and you know that great products still come from clear thinking, strong collaboration, and ownership. ## At STRV, Your Role Will Be To - Lead one project at a time — usually a 3–6 month journey — owning it from the first idea to the final handoff - Help define and consult on data products for various companies while understanding their business requirements - Design, build, launch, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines to move and transform data — both large and small — across multiple platforms - Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team including business, data science, engineering, design, testing, and product management - Continue growing your impact by developing individually and mentoring peers, both internally and externally ## We Expect You To Have - **Ownership of Full or Partial Data Stack:** - Strong experience with at least one SQL database such as Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, or a similar technology - Strong experience with schema design and data modeling - Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics tools - Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines - Experience with AI-assisted and/or agentic development — or an eagerness to explore and integrate AI into how you work - **A problem-solving mindset:** You’re an analyst who loves tackling business challenges through data. - **A self-starter attitude:** You are passionate about exploring new technologies and confident in sharing your knowledge with others. - **Top-notch communication skills:** You’ll be in direct contact with our US-based clients, so confidence and fluency in English are essential. ## Nice-to-Have - Experience programming across multiple languages, including but not limited to Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and others - Practical knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure - Experience querying large-scale datasets using tools like Apache Spark - A degree in Computer Science or a related technical or analytical field ## Perks & Benefits **We want you to feel at home.
