How You Fit In

As our Brand Copywriter, you’ll play a crucial role within Marketing. But your responsibilities will go beyond the team; you will be embraced as the person behind our brand voice, both externally and internally. People across STRV will turn to you to ensure that every word reflects our values as honestly and uniquely as possible — and that no em-dash is misplaced.

You’ll report directly to the Marketing Director and regularly collaborate with other Marketing team members, including the Brand Designer, Product Marketing Manager and Growth Marketing Specialist, as you create copy for various channels, platforms and revenue-generating initiatives. (Think case studies, campaigns, thought leadership, internal docs or even fresh takes on Slack announcements). Beyond Marketing, you’ll work closely with other departments — from Design and Product to Sales and Engineering — to make sure STRV’s voice is consistent, impactful and unmistakably ours.

This role is perfect for a self-driven individual who balances tasks like a pro. You recognize what needs to be prioritized, but you never let the “smaller” things be forgotten because you know they matter, too. And as you keep a watchful eye over STRV’s many initiatives, you’re always adding new ideas to the mix. You just can’t help it — that’s why you fit right in. 

At STRV, Your Role Will Be to:

  • Write and edit marketing copy — across various channels for case studies, blogs, email campaigns, social assets, etc.

  • Serve as the guardian of our brand voice — by setting the standard for how we communicate internally and externally

  • Ensure consistency in our brand voice — and skillfully translate it into a tone of voice that suits a specific audience (startup founders, potential hires, etc.)

  • Position STRV as a thought leader — by making sure our brand embodies the character of an expert in digital products 

  • Manage editorial content planning + execution — meaning that you own numerous initiatives, driving them from conception to delivery

  • Lead cross-departmental collaborations — usually by gathering insights from Product, Design, Sales and Eng., then using those insights to create an informed content piece

  • Identify new content opportunities — ones that align with STRV’s current strategic goals

  • Be a strict “BS filter” — fact-checking all content to make sure we’re presenting reality without distortion or exaggeration

  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail — by having a natural eye for detail and a deep understanding of grammar and syntax (you spot tiny errors in a split second)

  • Lead internal communication — from strategy to execution in collaboration with the People Ops team

  • Use AI tools thoughtfully — not as a shortcut, but as a way to speed up workflows, spark better ideas and push creative boundaries… keeping in human-first

  • Use SEO best practices for copy creation — to support organic search engine rankings (we can help here, to a point)

We Expect You to Have:

  • Absolute English proficiency as a native speaker

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience — we strongly prefer someone who’s worked in the tech space, whether for a startup, media company, etc. 

  • Proven track record of defining and/or following strict brand guidelines 

  • Familiarity with tech and design terminology, incl. buzzwords (so you’ll get why we avoid some of them)

  • Experience with using CMS for publishing web content 

  • Demonstrated ability to work with various departments

  • Familiarity with AI tools (like ChatGPT) — and the wisdom to use them responsibly

  • A proactive and self-motivated nature, with a knack for identifying and pursuing new content opportunities

Nice to Have:

  • SEO copywriting know-how

  • Experience writing technical content with clarity and flair

  • A background in journalism, editorial or creative writing
