Here's the dealThis role is for hands-on leaders who have plenty to teach and an eagerness to close. That means leading a small team while getting your hands dirty with the full sales cycle: networking like a pro, digging into details of digital products to help businesses hit their goals, creating custom proposals around mobile and web app development — and doing it all as a tech enthusiast who tracks trends because you want to, not because you have to.
You run the show. We lean on your experience; you own your sales approach with the support of a collaborative team.
Leading your team. Lead from the front, exemplifying independence, strategic thinking and decision-making in all parts of the sales cycle while helping their team do the same.
Uncapped commission. Lots of earning potential for hitting your targets, as well as getting your team to hit theirs.
Broaden your tech know-how cross-industry. You will support clients in building custom digital products across Sport, Fitness, Education, eComm, Fintech and more.
Access to experts in the field. Our team of ~200 Product Managers, Engineers and Designers is ready and eager to support the projects you bring home.
Global experience. Our team is located across Los Angeles, New York and the Czech Republic, with clients ranging from LA to Tokyo.
First, a bit about us. STRV is a software design and engineering team that delivers next-level digital products. Since 2004, we’ve delivered solutions for partners, from startups to established enterprises, including Barry’s, Microsoft, MedMen, Barnes & Noble, The Athletic, LegalZoom and many more. We focus on building mobile applications, websites, backend infrastructure, IoT, blockchain and data science/machine learning/AI.

You’re an established sales professional who understands the nuances of selling to varied companies, industries and market dynamics. You come from an agency or consultancy background with a deep understanding of software development.
You have a passion for leading others, mentoring and developing their skills. You want to learn from other leaders and share your know-how.
You’re skilled at networking, generating digital and IRL leads, and establishing sales strategies to attain your, your team’s and the company's quota.
You’re a strong communicator ready to work alongside dozens of passionate individuals across Sales, Design, Engineering, Product and Marketing to elevate the business on the daily.

Develop and implement sales strategies — together with the CRO and other managers (EMEA & East Coast USA).
Bring specialized knowledge — and elevate your sales approach in the context of STRV.
Identify and generate new opportunities — across growing startups and enterprise companies.
Craft unique value propositions — while ensuring all deals have properly defined strategies and swiftly adapt to changing circumstances/environments.
Stay active within your local startup and tech community — by attending meetups, conferences, events, etc.
Lead from the front — exemplifying independence, strategic thinking and decision-making in all parts of the sales cycle while helping their team do the same.
Prep team reporting and forecasts — including key metrics (pipeline, team activity, hiring, etc.).
Co-lead learning activities for the team — expand knowledge about sales, technology, product management and STRV.
7+ years of sales experience an IT consulting, custom software development or digital agency with focus on closing new logos
Experience in selling to startups, founders and technology executives
Deep understanding of software development (with a focus on mobile and web app development)
A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quota
Leadership experience - mentoring and developing junior team members
A self-motivated mindset that drives you to succeed; you understand what it takes to win and advocate on behalf of your customers
Great organizational skills and the ability to handle several responsibilities at once with little oversight
Experience with tracking all of your sales activity and reports in CRM
An entrepreneurial spirit that makes you a reliable self-starter
A passion for digital products and building software; you’re up to speed with tech driving the future
A strong focus on solving problems and driving new client business
Great communication skills; you easily connect and build relationships
Fixed base salary
Commission based on a closed business
