Along with the move, we’re announcing the return of Portfolio Night this February and bringing back STRV Design Academy after nine years. If you care about thoughtful design and real dialogue, this is your invitation.
DSGN Drop is Moving
For years, DSGN Drop has lived in your inbox as a way for the STRV Design team to share updates, events and thinking with the broader creative community around us. It kept us connected. But over time, the one-way format started to feel tight.
We want more dialogue, more visible discussion and more space for designers to react, challenge and contribute. That is why DSGN Drop is moving to Substack, where it will live as its own section inside STRV’s official account.
This shift is not just about changing tools. It reflects our intention to be more open, more social and more engaged as we grow the STRV Design community in 2026 and beyond. Substack gives us the space to build that conversation properly.
And we are not making the move quietly.
Portfolio Night Returns
Two years ago, we renewed Portfolio Night and welcomed over 60 designers for honest one-on-one portfolio reviews. The feedback was strong, and since then we have been asked repeatedly to bring it back.
So we are.
On February 26, 2026, in Prague, 10 STRV designers will host focused 1:1 portfolio sessions, followed by open networking and conversation. The goal is simple: real conversations about craft, clarity and growth, whether you bring polished work or projects in progress.
This year, we are adding one more layer. Three designers from Portfolio Night will receive a fast track into the STRV Design Academy happening in April.
STRV Design Academy is Back
After nine years, STRV Design Academy is back.
16 selected designers will join a five-week program in our Prague office, covering the full product design process, from early exploration and moodboarding to UX thinking and polished UI execution. The program is hands-on, collaborative and built around how design operates inside a real product team.
The application process will be thorough because quality matters, and the program will be free of charge.
Applications close March 12, and the selected 16 will be notified on March 27.

What This Means
