Following the success of STRV's first Apple Watch Hackathon in Prague last month, we are excited to see what kind of innovative app ideas will emerge from our second round, which will be held June 6 at NextSpace in San Francisco.
We are proudly partnering with a number of top-tier San Francisco Bay Area-based companies, including Dropbox, which is also a sponsor, InVision and Pinterest. Mentors from each of these companies will be on hand all day to answer questions and offer advice. They will also be part of the judging panel. Each member of the winning team will be awarded with their own Apple Watch from STRV, as well as a three-month free membership from InVision.

The competition will no doubt be fierce. A number of experienced iOS engineers and designers have already signed up to participate. Teams will be judged on their overall package: Not only will they need to present a cool app idea that's based on the WatchKit framework, but they must also have a solid, eye-catching design.
“So many amazing ideas came out of our Prague hackathon that I am looking forward to seeing what's produce at our San Francisco event,” says David Semerad, STRV's CEO. “Innovation is key. The Apple Watch is such a hot commodity right now, and STRV is at the forefront of WatchKit development. A couple of our team members will be at NextSpace on June 6 to advise our hackers.”
The day will start at 9am with breakfast, followed by a short presentation on WatchKit. Judging will start at 6:30pm, and winners will be announced at 8:30pm. There will be plenty of food and drink throughout the day to keep everyone's creative juices flowing.
